The recent citizenship amendment act has caused quite a stir across the nation. There have been rallies in various states both for and against it. However recently there have been reports about various government schools students and employees in Chhattisgarh being involved in these CAA rallies. All this CAA sloganeering by school students in Chhattisgarh seems to have taken a violent turn and led to law and order emergencies. These Pro and Anti CAA rallies across the nation have also been causing a complete disruption law & order.
A probe was ordered recently over the involvement of government school students in Chattisgarh.
The students of a government school are said to have participated in the pro-CAA rally organized by the Akhila Bharath Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) last week. HR Som, the District Education Officer mentioned that there is a ban on the participation of students in any political rallies. A show-cause notice has also been issued to the principal of the school and the Block education officer with regards to the same.
The incident is said to have taken place on the 28th of February. The mentioned government high school for girls in Ambagarh Chowki town was said to have taken part in the pro-CAA-NRC rally in their uniform. The District Education Officer (DEO) also mentioned that further action shall be taken based on the reply to the show-cause notice. In the meanwhile, there has been a circular that has been sent to all the government schools in the district that ensures students to not take part in any rallies without the permission of the concerned authorities.
The students failing to follow the circular issued by the Chhattisgarh government are threatened with serious disciplinary consequences.
