The Developer Week Hackathon is known to be one of the most challenge driven hackathons in the world. The SRM University students developed a game based on the blockchain technology which incentivises individuals to purchase products. This Ethereum-based game is a card trading game targeted towards shoppers. This game attracts shoppers to purchase more products and aid the sellers to acquire higher customer attention. The SRM University team incorporated the chatting platform of Agora.rio in their game. The developers of Agoraio liked this incorporation, and the SRM team was awarded the first prize along with a cash reward of a $1000 from Agoraio.
SRM University offers its students the best possible growth opportunities to enable them to develop as concerned global citizens and not just mere professionals. This victory is undoubtedly a proud moment for the SRM University as its students won accolades and caused ripples on a global platform. According to the Vice Chancellor of the SRM University, Dr Jamshed Bharucha, the Semester Abroad Program is designed towards offering its students some significant global exposure and mentorship.
Koushik Bhargav Muthe has led another team in the Developer Week Hackathon which was among the overall top-5 teams in the event. The second team developed a blockchain based contract system which can be used for making and undertaking social and corporate contracts over a blockchain. In the system, users need to enter their contract and details, and the other party to the contract also enters their contract and details. Both parties receive emails, and they have an option to either accept or reject the contract. An entry is made on the blockchain once both parties have accepted the contract in its entirety. These contracts can be recovered at any time as blockchain is immutable.
