Presidency University Celebrates 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava with Cultural Fest Nadotsava 2026

Celebrating the language, heritage and cultural identity of Karnataka, Presidency University organized Nadotsava 2026 to celebrate 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava. This event was a reflection of the significance of regional heritage and culture of the state, and also the significance of promoting cultural awareness among the young generation.

This event was graced by Prof. Dr. Anjanappa T. H., who is a winner of Karnataka Rajyotsava Award 2019 and was invited as the Chief Guest on this occasion. His attendance in the event made the occasion more significant as the celebration of the cultural heritage of Karnataka.

The festival of Karnataka Rajyotsava is celebrated annually on November 1st. This day marks the creation of the state of Karnataka in 1956, where different regions where people speak Kannada were united into one state. This day is very important for the people who speak Kannada because it is a celebration of their linguistic and cultural heritage.

Nadotsava 2026 was a platform that helped Presidency University to highlight various aspects of Karnataka’s cultural heritage including language, culture and tradition. This celebration was another example of the significance of the educational institutions in bringing awareness about various cultural traditions of India.

In the Nadotsava 2026, Presidency University paid homage to the multifarious cultural aspects of Karnataka. The celebration highlighted the significance of educational institutions in raising awareness regarding the cultural heritage of India among students, which also includes the linguistic and traditional aspects of it.

For educational institutions like universities, celebrations of such events are not just related to learning and academic studies; there are more aspects that need to be considered. Cultural celebrations like Karnataka Rajyotsava enable the students to feel proud of their community and culture and help raise their appreciation towards linguistic and cultural diversity in India.

The Nadotsava 2026 celebrated by Presidency University has highlighted again the cultural heritage of Karnataka and the essence of Kannada pride.
