Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has unveiled a new educational offering, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care and Hospital Management, tailored for graduates meeting specified academic criteria.
Targeting aspiring professionals in healthcare, the program aims to equip them with essential managerial skills to serve in diverse roles across public and private healthcare sectors nationwide, including underserved regions.
According to the official press release, the MBA program spans four semesters, comprising 112 credits. The curriculum is structured to include foundational courses in the initial semesters followed by specialized subjects, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management. Students will engage in practical learning experiences, including a mandatory project and a three-month internship in healthcare institutions.
The program's design emphasizes practical application and skill development, aligning with industry demands for competent healthcare administrators.
