Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud had previously voiced concerns about the transparency of the examination process during a September 20 session, where he issued notices to the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the Union of India. The CJI's remarks emphasized the importance of not jeopardizing students' futures, yet candidates now find themselves in limbo as they await a decision.
One candidate, reflecting on the situation, criticized the court’s handling of the case, stating, "The CJI often says he cannot play with our children's future, yet the repeated postponements seem to suggest otherwise." With the Supreme Court on the brink of a holiday break, many candidates speculate that the hearing might be further delayed until after October 14, prolonging their anxiety.

As the wait continues, candidates feel increasingly frustrated, believing that the Supreme Court and the NBE fail to prioritize their needs. "The only people playing with our lives are the Supreme Court and NBE," lamented one concerned candidate.
