Students looking to gain international research experience can now apply for the EPFL Summer Internship 2027 in Switzerland. The École Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of Europe’s leading science and technology universities, is offering a three-month summer programme through its School of Computer and Communication Sciences.

The fully funded opportunity is open to eligible undergraduate and master’s students from across the world. Selected participants will work in an international academic environment, gaining practical exposure to research and developing skills in their respective fields.

The programme is expected to begin between May and September 2027. There is no application fee, and candidates are not required to submit IELTS scores.

EPFL Summer Internship 2027: Financial Benefits

The programme will provide financial assistance to selected students to cover their stay and travel expenses in Switzerland. The benefits include:

  • Living allowance: Financial support to meet living expenses during the internship.
  • Travel reimbursement: Refund of eligible travel costs.
  • Transportation: A train ticket or low-cost economy-class return airfare, depending on the applicable arrangements.

The support is intended to make international research exposure more accessible to students who might otherwise find the cost of travelling to Switzerland a barrier.
