At the ninth meeting of the NITI Aayog governing council, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai articulated a forward-looking vision for his state, emphasizing the pivotal roles of education and artificial intelligence (AI) in driving development. Sai's address highlighted a strategic focus on human resource development and the essential role of youth in shaping Chhattisgarh's future.

Setting an ambitious target, Sai aims to double the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) from Rs 5.05 lakh crore to Rs 10 lakh crore within five years. To support this goal, he introduced the 'One Nation, One Student ID Card' (APAAR ID), a digital initiative designed to efficiently consolidate and manage students' educational records. This move is expected to streamline educational administration and provide better tracking of student progress across the nation.

In his presentation, Sai also sought the central government’s assistance to establish a Rainwater Conservation Research Center, emphasizing the state's critical need for water security. The centre would focus on advancing rainwater harvesting techniques and sustainable water management practices, aligning with broader environmental and developmental goals.

Additionally, Sai outlined plans to enhance healthcare services across Chhattisgarh, aiming to improve accessibility and quality of care. He highlighted initiatives for promoting sustainable development, which include environmental conservation and energy efficiency measures. Preserving Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and traditions is also a key component of his development strategy, ensuring that growth does not come at the expense of the state's rich historical and cultural legacy.

The Chief Minister’s vision integrates education, AI, and innovation as core elements to drive Chhattisgarh’s progress. By leveraging these tools, Sai aims to create a dynamic and resilient state economy, fostering growth while addressing key water management, healthcare, and cultural preservation challenges.

As per Hindustan Times reports, Vishnu Deo Sai’s presentation at the NITI Aayog meeting reflects a comprehensive approach to development, aiming to utilize technological advancements and strategic initiatives to propel Chhattisgarh towards substantial economic growth and improved quality of life for its citizens.
