The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to open registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 Session 1 soon. Engineering aspirants preparing for admission to undergraduate programmes at NITs, IIITs and other participating institutions are waiting for the application window to open.

Once the registration process begins, eligible candidates will be able to access the application form through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. As of October 15, 2026, the application form release date has not been officially confirmed. Candidates should monitor the NTA website for the latest announcements and detailed application instructions.

According to the examination schedule information provided, JEE Main 2027 Session 1 is scheduled to be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30, 2027. January 31 has been kept as a buffer date. Candidates should check the official information bulletin once released for confirmation of the examination dates and other important details.

In the previous admission cycle, JEE Main Session 1 registrations began on October 31, 2025. However, aspirants should not assume that the registration window for 2027 will follow the same timeline.

JEE Main 2027 Registration: Documents Required

Students can avoid last-minute delays by keeping the necessary documents ready before filling out the online application form. Based on the requirements listed for the examination, candidates should prepare the following:

  • Recent photograph: A scanned image in the prescribed JPEG or JPG format.

  • Class 10 certificate or marksheet: The document may be required to enter or verify personal and academic details.

Candidates should carefully check the prescribed file size, dimensions, format and other upload instructions before submitting their applications. The final document checklist and specifications should be verified against the JEE Main 2027 information bulletin.

JEE Main 2027: Papers and Courses

JEE Main is conducted for admission to various undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes. The examination has three paper categories:

  1. Paper 1: For admission to BE/BTech programmes.
  2. Paper 2A: For admission to BArch programmes.

Candidates should select the appropriate paper while completing the application form, depending on their preferred course and eligibility.
