Golden Jubilee Cup 2026: Eligibility and Team Composition

The competition will be open to bona fide students of law colleges and universities in Karnataka. Every team will have to submit a signed eligibility form, certifying the bonafides of the participants, with the head of the institution or department concerned before the schedule announcement.

The participants will be required to produce a valid college or university identity card for verification. The teams will also have to designate a manager (preferably the Physical Education Director of the institution), a full-time staff member or a coach in a designated managerial capacity. The manager will have to report to the umpire’s panel in case of any disputes and represent the team in all communication with the committee. In case of no manager being present, the team will be debarred from participation.

As per the rules of the tournament, the XI playing members and a maximum of four substitutes will constitute a team.

Registration Fee and Match-Day Regulations

The teams will have to submit the completed registration form and make the ₹5,000 payment by 21 October. The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances, and the organisers have asked the participants to follow the payment instructions issued by the committee.

The teams will have to report at the venue at least 60 minutes ahead of time for their matches. Teams arriving late or not reporting will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of the organising committee.

The players will be expected to wear the prescribed dress, bring along suitable footwear and carry the necessary equipment. First-aid support will be available at the venue.

Conduct Rules and Facilities

The participants, team managers and accompanying staff will be expected to show a spirit of sportsmanship at all times. Harassment, intimidation, threatening communications and physical fights are strictly prohibited under the rules, with the organisers reserving the right to take disciplinary action against violators.

The participants will have to follow the instructions given by the venue authorities. Consumption of alcohol or other prohibited substances will also be banned at the venue with violators being asked to leave the premises.

The decision of the organisers will be final and binding on all participants in matters relating to the organisation of the tournament, including match schedules and venue. The decision of the umpires during matches will also be final. The organisers have also mentioned that food and accommodation will not be provided.
