Three young actors from Bengali film Onko Ki Kothin have jointly won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. Their performance in the movie has been rewarded with this major honor.
Riddhiman Banerjee, Tapomoy Deb and Gitashree Chakraborty were recognized for their work at the 72nd National Film Awards. The young actors have highlighted the importance of the event, adding this to their growing list of achievements.
It was a proud moment for the children’s parents, who marked the anniversary with a large family dinner.
“For me it was more like fun, the whole family was excited to know the result,” said Tapomoy Deb, who acted as Tyre in Onko Ki Kothin. At 12 years old, he is also one of the youngest to win this major honor. The young actor is enjoying his career, yet he knows that education and childhood are the most important things in his life.
Another actor who received the National Film Award is 10-year-old Riddhiman Banerjee. He played the role of Babin in the movie. Unexpectedly, he does not want to become an actor when he grows up, he wants to be a pilot. This young actor is proof that people can follow their dreams at any age.
The third young winner is Gitashree Chakraborty – she acted as Dolly in the movie. This girl has also responded positively to the announcement of the award.
“I had fun while working, and it was really great to know that everyone liked my performance,” said the 10-year-old actress. Her family members were also surprised and happy for their daughter. They dedicated this award to the whole family.
Interestingly, this year three young actors were awarded for one film. Thus, Onko Ki Kothin and its actors have become very famous in the country.
The National Film Awards are considered one of the highest cinema honors in the country. Such awards are significant for young actors since, in the future, they will be able to achieve more successes in their careers.
In addition, the recognition helps the actors to develop further. Young stars will be able to continue their careers in films while studying at school.
The young actors will be encouraged to work even more actively in cinema. The three children’s performances in Onko Ki Kothin have earned them awards on a national scale. For these three actors, this is a great honor and responsibility. They all continue to act in films, trying to find something new for themselves in the profession.
