The ADB Young Professional Program (YPP) applications are now open. ADB YPP is a fixed-term entry-level program with a 3-year appointment at ADB headquarters in Manila, Philippines, and at other places where ADB has representation. The Young Professional program is an entry program for graduates and students to gain professional knowledge and expertise and ADB operations, policies, and procedures knowledge. ADB Young Professionals Program is a program that selects high-quality applicants and offers them a professional career as a global development professional. Young Professionals Program is typically the gateway to a career in some of the most powerful institutions of the world, i.e., the World Bank, ADB, UN, and WTO.

ADB Young Professionals Program Features

Duration: 3 years fixed term.

Initial Placement: Manila, Philippines

Rotation: Following 18 months, YPs will be stationed in another city where ADB has an office.

ADB's expectation is that when YPs graduate after 3 years of the contract, they would want to remain at ADB if they wish, and have a bright future in their career.

Young professionals will be part of the formal talent management program and will contribute to ADB's Strategy 2030.

Role of the ADB Young Professional

It is an entry point program for individuals interested in launching a career in international development.

Assist ADB policy and strategy formulation.

Apply your expertise to aid research and analysis, including ADB operation development impact.

Project Management

Support the formulation, processing, and implementation of non-complex loans, grants, and TA projects.

Ensure efficient integration of ADB guidelines and policies into project design and implementation.

Knowledge Sharing

Facilitate ADB knowledge sharing, capacity building, and advocacy.

Eligibility Criteria

The ADB Young Professionals program is open to nationals of ADB member countries.

Must have a bachelor's degree.

University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, Law, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or related fields.

Postgraduate degree or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Don't forget, internships count as work experience too.

Prior working experience in ADB-related fields is desirable.

Age: Should not exceed 32 years at the time of joining ADB.

Should be capable of expressing oneself effectively in written and verbal English.
