The National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK (NISAU UK) is set to host its ASK NISAU online session aimed at guiding Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in the UK.

Scheduled for May 18, 2024, at 6:30 pm IST, the event is designed to address the critical needs and concerns of students as they prepare for the upcoming September 2024 intake period.

According to a press release from NISAU UK, the ASK NISAU event seeks to provide students with accurate information and real-world insights, countering the misinformation and uncertainty often perpetuated by changing policies and unscrupulous actors. NISAU UK’s Head of Events, Dr. Vijaya, emphasized the union’s commitment to offering comprehensive advice and practical insights that will help students acclimate to life in the UK. "We are committed to ensuring that Indian students not only receive the best possible advice but also real-world insights that prepare them for life as a student in the UK," Dr. Vijaya stated.

The interactive online forum is expected to draw a significant number of participants and will cover a wide range of crucial topics. Highlights of the event include:

**Post-Study Work Visa:** Participants will gain an understanding of the current status of the Graduate Route and receive valuable advice on navigating the UK's immigration regime amidst uncertainties.

**Peer-to-Peer Insights:** Students will have the opportunity to engage with current students and alumni, learning from their first-hand experiences and gaining practical insights into studying and living in the UK.

**Domain Expertise:** Experts from various fields will provide essential knowledge. Representatives from India’s largest education loan provider, HDFC Credila, will discuss financial planning, while specialists from University Living will offer advice on student accommodation. Additionally, experts from the State Bank of India’s YONO App and employability advisors from Leap Beyond will be available to guide students on managing finances and enhancing their employability prospects.

**Networking Opportunities:** The event will facilitate connections between incoming students and alumni, fostering a supportive community where new students can seek guidance and build relationships with peers who have successfully navigated their academic journeys.

ASK NISAU is a free, live event, aiming to equip Indian students with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in the UK’s academic, professional, and cultural landscape. It is an all-encompassing initiative that addresses the complete student ecosystem, from securing visas to adapting to the education system and planning for future employment.

The event underscores NISAU UK's dedication to empowering Indian students by providing a platform where they can receive expert guidance, clarify their doubts, and connect with a supportive network as they embark on their studies in the UK.
