To create a clean and hygienic environment, APG Shimla University's National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers carried out a one-day cleanliness drive in the university campus and rural areas nearby on Friday. The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of APG Shimla University took the initiative under the guidance of Dr. Pyar Singh, NSS Unit Officer, and Assistant Coordinator Prof. Atul Dubey.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.S. Chauhan inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest and took the oath of cleanliness on behalf of all the professors, students, researchers, cleaning staff, and NSS volunteers. He pointed out that cleanliness drives must not be confined to just one day, week, or fortnight but must become a part of one's daily routine for all citizens.

The volunteers not only cleaned the university campus and surrounding areas but also engaged with local people, promoting awareness about cleanliness, environmental protection, and moral values. They urged the people to keep their surroundings clean and propagate the message of "Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat" (Clean India, Healthy India).

The ceremony was graced by the university's Chancellor Engineer Suman Vikrant, Pro-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, Registrar Dr. Ankit Thakur, Joint Registrar Manish Agarwal, Academic Dean Prof. Dr. Anand Mohan Sharma, Examination Controller Dr. Afzal Khan, and University Officer Rajat Pratap Nagolta.
