During his meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CM Reddy emphasised the urgent need to transfer 2,450 acres of Defence land to the state government.

In a significant move to bolster Telangana’s infrastructure and educational facilities, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Delhi. The meetings were pivotal for addressing critical developmental issues and advancing the state's interests.

During his meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CM Reddy emphasised the urgent need to transfer 2,450 acres of Defence land to the state government. This land is crucial for infrastructure projects, including highway expansions, flyovers, and other essential amenities in and around Hyderabad. The CM stressed that this transfer is vital for the city's growth and to alleviate traffic congestion, thereby improving the quality of life for its residents.

Another critical point of discussion was the renewal of permission for a Sainik school in Warangal. This school was sanctioned previously but remained unconstructed due to inaction by the former state government. CM Reddy highlighted the importance of the Sainik School in providing quality education and training to young students, preparing them for careers in the armed forces and other national services.

In his separate meeting with Union Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, CM Reddy he sought sanctions for 2.70 lakh houses under the Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) model and enhanced funding per unit under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The CM argued that increased funding is essential to ensure that housing projects are completed on time and meet the standards to provide safe and comfortable homes for the state's lower-income residents.

Furthermore, CM Reddy appealed to extend the Smart Cities Mission deadline until June 2025. This extension would allow Telangana to fully implement and benefit from the program, which aims to promote sustainable and inclusive urban development.

These meetings highlight the Telangana government's commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing educational opportunities, and ensuring better living conditions for its citizens. The CM's proactive approach in engaging with the Union Ministers underscores the state's determination to secure necessary resources and approvals for its developmental projects.

The outcomes of these discussions are eagerly awaited, as they can significantly impact Telangana’s future growth and development. The state's residents and stakeholders hope the central government will respond positively to these requests, paving the way for a more prosperous and well-equipped Telangana.
