Telangana administration has commenced redistributing educators according to student populations in state-run schools. This strategic endeavour aims to upgrade and enhance the calibre of learning by guaranteeing an ideal student-instructor proportion.
The Department of Schooling, under the leadership of A. Sridevasena, Commissioner and Director of Schooling, seeks to achieve an instructor-student ratio of one educator per ten pupils. Sridevasena confirmed that all sanctioned teaching vacancies would be occupied to fulfil this new benchmark. Recently, the state elevated 18,942 instructors to assist with this reorganization.
Formerly, the Bharat Rashtra Samiti administration adhered to a different proportion: one instructor for every 19 learners, two for 20-60 learners, and three for 61-90 learners.
The current leadership aims to enforce a more efficient system: one educator for 1-10 learners, two for 11-40 learners, and three for 41-60 learners. For institutions with over 61 learners, a digital application system for educators has been implemented.
Moreover, today marks the initiation of virtual classes by the Telangana Skills, Academic, and Training (T-SAT) Network for state-run school pupils. Roughly 60 lakh students across over 29,400 state-run schools will access lessons spanning 1,498 subjects. These sessions, scheduled from 10 am to 4:30 pm, will be delivered in Telugu, Hindi, and English, focusing on arithmetic, natural, and social sciences. The courses can be accessed via the T-SAT Vidya channel, the T-SAT application, and YouTube.
The state is constructing integrated residential school facilities in all 119 Assembly constituencies. These complexes will amalgamate SC, ST, BC, and Minority Gurukul institutions under one establishment, offering a unified and holistic educational environment for a diverse student body.
