The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has refuted recent media reports claiming that it had informed the Ministry of Education about the impracticality of conducting bi-annual board exams for classes 10 and 12.

In a statement issued today, CBSE dismissed these assertions as unfounded and reiterated its commitment to aligning with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education.

According to CBSE officials, there is no truth to the allegations circulated in various media outlets suggesting that the board had expressed concerns over the feasibility of organizing bi-annual board exams within the current academic calendar. The board clarified that such reports lack factual basis and misrepresent their discussions with the Ministry of Education.

This clarification from CBSE comes amid speculation and misinterpretation regarding the board's stance on the conduct of bi-annual exams. The board emphasized its continuous efforts to adhere to educational reforms mandated by the government and assured stakeholders of its readiness to implement policies that enhance the quality and effectiveness of school education across the country.

For the unversed, earlier reports were making rounds where it’s been stated that CBSE differed from the idea of conducting exams twice a year.
