Government schools in Rajasthan will now observe January 22 as Ramlala Pran Pratishtha Day, following its recent inclusion in the list of annual festival days by the state's Education Department, as reported by IANS.

The Rajasthan School Education Council has updated its calendar to feature this new addition, which outlines the dates for various festivals and commemorative days to be celebrated in schools.

The newly released calendar does not specify how Ramlala Pran Pratishtha Day should be celebrated or what activities students should undertake. Instead, it offers general guidelines for celebrating such days. These guidelines suggest that schools should facilitate discussions about the significance of each day, inform students about its importance, and encourage them to create drawings that depict its meaning.

School Education Minister Madan Dilawar officially launched the updated calendar three days ago, as confirmed by his office to IANS. The calendar aims to enrich students' understanding of cultural and historical events through interactive and creative activities.

In addition to Ramlala Pran Pratishtha Day, the calendar includes other significant festivals like Raksha Bandhan. For Raksha Bandhan, the schools will have students tie Raksha Sutra to each other a day before the festival. Since Raksha Bandhan falls on Monday, August 19, this year, the school celebration will occur on Saturday, August 17.
