Badavath Madhulatha from Rajanna Sircilla, Telangana, has become a symbol of perseverance and triumph, capturing widespread attention on social media.
She achieved an impressive rank of 824 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and secured admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna under the Scheduled Tribe (ST) quota. Her story gained further prominence due to her family's challenging financial situation.
Madhulatha's parents work as agricultural labourers, and her father's illness has compelled her to take on the responsibility of tending to the family's goats. Despite these hardships, there is now a beacon of hope for this determined young woman, as the Government of Telangana has intervened to assist.
According to a Deccan Chronicle (DC) report, the state government has extended financial aid to ensure Madhulatha can pursue her BTech studies at IIT Patna. The government has instructed the Telangana State Scheduled Tribes Co-operative Finance Corporation (TRICOR) to disburse Rs 1,51,831 to the account of the District Tribal Development Officer in Rajanna Sircilla. This fund is designated to support Madhulatha's educational journey.
While Madhulatha managed to pay her acceptance fee, she faced difficulties covering the hostel and other expenses. This timely financial support from the state government will alleviate those burdens, allowing her to focus on her academic aspirations.
