The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Civil Services Main Exam 2024 dates. The exam will take place from September 20 to September 29, 2024.
The comprehensive exam schedule is available on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in for those who cleared the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination this year. 14,627 candidates advanced from the preliminary exam, which was held on June 16, with results declared on July 1.

- Save and download the PDF for future reference.
The UPSC CSE Mains 2024 will begin with the Essay Paper on September 20. The General Studies Paper I will be held on September 21 in the morning, followed by General Studies Paper II in the afternoon. The subsequent day, September 22, will feature General Studies Papers III and IV in the morning and afternoon sessions. The Indian Language and English qualifying papers are scheduled for September 28. The final day, September 29, will include optional subject papers I and II in the morning and afternoon.
This year, UPSC is filling 1,056 positions, including 40 reserved for individuals with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), across the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
