The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has released the admit cards for the upcoming National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) 2024 examination, slated to be held on November 17.

This scholarship scheme, administered under the Government of India, aims to support meritorious students from financially constrained backgrounds to continue their education through secondary and higher secondary schooling.

The NMMS exam will be conducted across various centres in Haryana, beginning at 10:00 AM and lasting 90 minutes. The test consists of two key sections: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), each containing 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

The MAT section will assess students' reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills with topics such as logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and numerical ability. Meanwhile, the SAT section is focused on assessing academic knowledge, covering science, social science, and mathematics. This balanced approach aims to test academic knowledge and cognitive and reasoning abilities.

Students applying for the NMMS 2024 can now access their admit cards online by visiting the official BSEH website at [bseh.org.in](http://bseh.org.in). To download their admit card, candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth. BSEH has encouraged all applicants to ensure they have admit cards and to check all details for accuracy before exam day.

To qualify for the NMMS examination, students must currently be in Class 8 and meet the following criteria:

- Minimum Academic Requirement: A minimum score of 55% in Class 7 (relaxed to 50% for SC/ST students).

- Income Cap: The annual family income should not exceed ₹1.5 lakhs.

This eligibility framework ensures the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic potential yet may lack the financial means to pursue further studies. The NMMS offers an annual scholarship of ₹12,000, aimed at helping selected students fund their education from Class 9 through Class 12. Each year, the NMMS awards approximately 100,000 scholarships across India, significantly boosting students who may otherwise face challenges in continuing their education due to economic hardship.
