The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a new advisory for candidates registering for JEE Main 2025, explicitly addressing name mismatches on Aadhaar cards.
According to the NTA Official Statement, this move aims to reduce potential complications during registration, examination, and admission.
The NTA’s advisory emphasises that candidates with name discrepancies between their Aadhaar card and other identification documents should promptly update their Aadhaar details to ensure consistency.
Candidates whose names differ on their Aadhaar cards compared to their Class X and XII certificates or JEE Main 2025 application form are advised to correct their Aadhaar details before completing their JEE registration.
Updating Aadhaar Details:
- Visit the official UIDAI website at [uidai.gov.in](http://uidai.gov.in).
- Click on the “Update Aadhaar Details” option.
- Follow the instructions to update your name and any other required details.
- Obtain an updated Aadhaar card once the process is complete.
Candidates must ensure their names match across all essential documents:
- Aadhaar card
- Class X and XII certificates
- JEE Main 2025 application form
Per reports of the Indian Express, the NTA will verify candidate information during the application process, making it crucial for candidates to resolve any discrepancies in advance.
