The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has opened its doors to aspiring candidates, inviting applications for its MTech and PhD programs. The institute has released the application forms for various specializations across its departments and schools.
Prospective candidates keen on pursuing postgraduate studies at IIT Jodhpur can submit their applications via the official website, iitj.ac.in. The deadline to complete the application process for the MTech and PhD programs is set for April 20, 2024.
Selection for these programs will be based on candidates' performance in competitive examinations such as GATE and JAM. Notably, there has been a noticeable surge in the minimum and maximum GATE scores of applicants admitted across different categories and programs compared to previous years.
IIT Jodhpur offers a diverse range of PG courses, including MTech programs in fields like Robotics and Mobility Systems, Intelligent Communication Systems, Materials Engineering, Bioscience and Bioengineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, Sensors, and Internet of Things, among others.
The institute provides MSc programs in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Digital Humanities, and Computational Social Science, as well as MSc-MTech programs in Data and Computational Sciences, Physics, and Materials Engineering. Opportunities for pursuing MS by research in various fields are also available.
Eligibility criteria for admission to these programs stipulate that candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or science (4-year program) or a master's degree in science, MCA, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, or a related field.
Applicants from the general category are required to have secured a minimum of 60% marks, while those from SC/ST/PD categories must have obtained at least 55% marks, either in aggregate or as specified by the university.
