Originally from Rohtak, Haryana, Panchal had been diligently preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) at a coaching institute in the city for over a year. The discovery marks the seventh suspected suicide case of NEET or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants in this coaching hub so far this year, according to police reports by PTI.
Expressing deep disbelief and suspicion, Panchal's parents are contesting the notion that their son took his own life. They are adamant about the need for a murder case to be registered against unidentified perpetrators, urging for an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Panchal's demise.
The finding of Panchal's body hanging from the ceiling fan in his hostel room at Landmark City under the Kunhari police station limits occurred on Sunday night, April 28. Despite the absence of a suicide note, Panchal's parents remain steadfast in their belief that foul play was involved, citing the severity of the neck injury, which they argue is inconsistent with death by hanging.
