The North-Western Railway of India has announced a whopping 2090 vacancies for the post of ACT Apprentice. The recruitment is being conducted for various workshops & divisions with the Railway. The vacancy is a great opportunity for ITI candidates who can now use their skills to bag a job with the state. The application for the vacancy is to be submitted online. The application process has opened on 30 November 2018 and will close on 30 December 2018. So if you are interested, you better not delay as the opportunity is there only for a month.

The Railway authorities have also classified the number of vacant posts according to the division or workshop where the vacancies have been generated. The recruitment is being conducted for 8 workshops or divisions. With the Ajmer Division there are 420 vacancies; with the Bikaner Division, there are 412 vacancies. While there are 503 vacancies with the Jaipur Division, there are 410 vacancies with the Jodhpur Division. BTC Carriage Ajmer is offering 166 vacancies and BTC LOCO Ajmer is offering 57. The carriage workshop of Bikaner has 57 vacant posts and lastly, the carriage workshop of Jodhpur has 85 vacancies.
Looks like a great opportunity? But before applying get informed about the eligibility criteria for the posts. The minimal qualification for the job is 10th standard or equivalent with at least 50% marks obtained at the secondary level. The candidate has to be an ITI-skilled individual having specialized in the relevant trade. The candidate has to be certified as an ITI or the holder of a National Apprenticeship Certificate given by NCVT/SCVT.
As regards the age criteria for application, the candidate has to be between 15-24 years as on 30 December 2018.
If you are clearing all the criteria for eligibility, do not delay in applying. You have to apply online by logging in to the website of Railway Recruitment Cell Jaipur before 30 December, 5 pm. There is an application fee involved in the process. For general and OBC candidates the application fee is Rs 100. However, for women, persons with disabilities, SC & ST candidates, there is no application fee.
The selection process for all will be based on the 10th standard marks obtained by the candidates.
