The protests outside Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajender Nagar continued for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, July 30. This follows the tragic deaths of three civil service aspirants who drowned in the flooded basement of the coaching institute on Saturday.
Demonstrators, including civil service aspirants and local residents, are demanding strict action against the coaching center's management and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for their alleged negligence. Protesters have accused the coaching institute of illegally using the basement as a library, a violation of safety norms.
"We will not back down until justice is served," said Ayush, a protester. "We demand immediate compensation for the victims' families and stringent punishment for those responsible." Another protester, Satyam Singh, emphasized the need for strict action to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
Local residents have also joined the protests, alleging that the clogged drainage system in the area contributed to the flooding. They have demanded immediate measures to improve the city's drainage infrastructure.
As the protests intensify, authorities are facing increasing pressure to address the demands of the aggrieved.
