The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has called on Karnataka's Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Madhu Bangarappa, to address the encroachment on government school land urgently.
As per the New Indian Express reports, the party has raised serious allegations against BJP MLA Byrathi Basavaraj, accusing him of being involved in the illegal encroachment of a high-value plot belonging to a government boys' school in Bhattarahalli.
According to AAP, the land in question spans 6 acres and is estimated to be worth several crores. The party claims construction activities have begun on this plot using fraudulent documents, prompting concerns about the potential misuse and illegal occupation of government property. The land is strategically located adjacent to the Bengaluru-Kolar highway, adding value and urgency.
AAP leaders submitted a formal memorandum to Minister Bangarappa, requesting immediate intervention to protect the land from encroachment.
