University of Bonn has come up with the SDG Fellowship, a competitive program for funding postdoctoral researchers from the developing world. The program aims at propelling the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and empower influential research to propel global development and sustainability.

Program Overview

The fellowship is available to postdoctoral researchers with a solid research proposal and a host institution in Germany. Recipients will be awarded a monthly stipend between €2,000 and €3,000, based on qualifications and experience. The fellowship is held for 3 to 12 months.

The SDG Fellowship has been established with the goal of fostering global research collaboration, building research capacity in developing nations, and advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By providing opportunities for researchers from developing countries to collaborate with German research institutions, the fellowship aims to promote international cooperation and drive long-term growth and development.

The fellowship aims to help achieve the SDGs by promoting research in key fields of sustainability, social justice, and economic development.

The deadline for applying for the SDG Fellowship is March 15, 2024. The applicants will be shortlisted for the fellowship based on a number of criteria, such as the merit of their research proposal, academic and professional background, and the applicability of their research to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
