Dates of the Internship
The date of commencement is flexible and determined by need. UNDP will be considering applications on a rolling basis until August 31, 2025.
Financial Benefits
UNDP interns will be paid a monthly stipend, the value of which varies according to duty station. Stipends are monthly payments.
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will assist the Chief Digital Office in multiple priority areas:
- Inclusive Digital Ecosystems: Supporting the development of rights-based and inclusive digital development, assisting digital public infrastructure, and supporting research on digital inclusion issues.
- Country Office Support & Capacity Building: Helping with digital and AI readiness assessments, national digital/AI strategies, and increasing availability of digital capacity-building resources.
- UNDP Digital Strategy: Enabling global positioning of UNDP's digital leadership through research, digital guide management, and strategy implementation analysis.
- Business Operations: Helping with other operational tasks (people, procurement, finance, internal processes) to enhance efficiency.
- Thought Leadership & Partnerships: Identifying would-be partners, facilitating strategic communications and events, and aiding engagement with global processes.
- Product Design & Management: Facilitating the design, building, testing, and implementation of digital products and AI software.
- UNDP Transformation & Change Management: Assisting in the exchange of knowledge, monitoring progress of digital transformation, and aiding internal communications.

Eligibility Criteria
- Internship is open to all Nationals.
- Must be enrolled in a graduate program.
- OR be in the last year of a bachelor's degree program.
- OR have a university degree obtained within the past year.
- Interest/experience in the above-mentioned workstreams is preferable.
