IIM Raipur, Emeritus launch 12-month online general management programme for professionals

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has made a public announcement that the Advanced Certificate Programme in General Management will be launched for professionals seeking to build enterprise-wide leadership capabilities in a digital-first era. The programme has been launched in collaboration with edtech company Emeritus and will begin from September 30.

The online course of 12 months is designed for early to mid-career professionals such as managers, functional heads, and consultants who aim to acquire strategic, cross-functional, and technology-enabled leadership skills. It is also geared towards entrepreneurs and founders who wish to innovate and scale their enterprises using data-driven decisions.

According to IIM Raipur, the program is aimed at fulfilling the growing requirement for business leaders with the ability to manage different business domains, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics, and transforming divisions.

The program will be taught through live and pre-recorded online sessions by IIM Raipur faculty. The curriculum will cover fundamental business functions such as strategy, operations, marketing, finance, and HR and future topics such as AI, GenAI, analytics, digital transformation, and cloud technologies.

It will include over 10 live faculty-led sessions and six industry masterclasses across applications of AI in business leadership and functional fields. An opportunity for online students to join an optional on-campus networking reception.

Who is eligible to take the course?

The programme is open for admission to any graduate (10+2+3) from a recognized university, e.g., UGC, AICTE, DEC, AIU, and foreign institutions recognized by the concerned authorities. The cost of the course is Rs 1,45,000 + GST.

Those students who complete the course successfully and pass the requirements of evaluation shall be awarded a certificate of completion by IIM Raipur. According to the notice, alumni status at IIM Raipur shall be conferred to graduates of the programme, and such students shall be entitled to access allied career support services like resume building, interview preparation, and IIMJobs Pro membership.

IIM Raipur is ranked 14th in the management category by NIRF 2024, and the institute is a part of the AACSB Business Education Alliance. The new programme falls under the general trend in executive training toward digital and cross-functional skills, based on leadership trends emerging in the EY CEO Outlook Pulse Survey 2025, which identifies that more than 88% of Indian CEOs now focus on upskilling for future-readiness.
