NEET PG 2025 Results Declared: Key Updates, Cut-offs & How to Check Your Score

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the results of the NEET PG 2025 officially. It is now a decisive moment for thousands of medical graduates across the country seeking postgraduate seats in MD, MS, DNB, DrNB, and PG Diploma courses. This National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses was conducted on August 3, 2025, in a single sitting in 301 cities, with more than 2.42 lakh aspirants vying for limited seats in India's prestigious medical colleges.

Exam Highlights

• Exam Date: 3rd August 2025
• Shift: Single (9 AM to 12:30 PM)
• Pattern: 200 Multiple Choice Questions, English only
• Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer, 25% negative marking for incorrect answers, and zero marks for not attempted questions
• Total Time: 3 hours 30 minutes

NEET PG examination this year was conducted successfully in 1,052 test centres as per NBEMS guidelines.

Cut-off Scores (Category-wise)

NBEMS has published the official cut-off marks for eligibility. The candidates have to score the following minimum marks for eligibility for postgraduate admissions:

Only the candidates who secure equal to or more than these cut-off marks will be deemed qualified and will be eligible for the next process of counselling and seat allotment.

Result Announcement & Scorecard Download

• Announcement Date: August 19, 2025
• Official Sites: natboard.edu.in  and nbe.edu.in 
• Individual Scorecards: Available for download from August 29, 2025, onwards. Candidates should download and keep a copy for their reference.
• Validity of Results: Only for admission for the academic year 2025-26 (non-transferable).

The candidates will be able to see their marks, rank, and All India merit position in the result PDF on the official website. The individual scorecard, with the break-up of marks and percentiles, will be released after the first result, usually one week later.

• Click on NEET PG 2025 Result link in notifications
• Enter your User ID and Password if required
• Verify your result PDF/rank list and look up your roll number
• Download and print the outcome for admissions and counselling

Shortlisted candidates need to undergo the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) process for seats under All India Quota and institutional or state authority for state quota admission. NEET PG result is the gateway to nearly 6102 colleges and 649 hospitals with MD, MS, DNB, and PG Diploma seats in India.

Key Considerations

• No re-totalling, re-checking, or re-evaluation of NEET PG responses according to NBEMS policy will be done.
• NEET PG rank is a general merit rank of all candidates who have appeared for the test. 
• Candidates must ensure that they fall within the corresponding category cutoff and possess a copy of their scorecard with them for the later counselling rounds.
