Providing a once-in-a-lifetime chance for young Asian Pacific space professionals, the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) invited nominations for the Asia Pacific Space Leader Award (AP-SLA) 2025 providing a fully sponsored attendance at the 11th Asia Pacific Space Generation Workshop (AP-SGW) in the Philippines. The workshop will be conducted on November 15–16, 2025, at Mactan, Cebu, and present the region's best minds to converge on cross-border collaboration in space.
The AP-SLA award is a special one presented to SGAC members who have contributed importantly to the Asia Pacific space sector. The award entails economy round-trip air travel, visa fees, and full participation charges. The awardees will also be provided with official certificates of recognition.
The applicant should be between 18 and 35 years as of 16th December 2025 and a citizen of any of the targeted countries, including India, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Bangladesh, and many others. Notably, no application fee and IELTS fee is to be paid. Still, candidates need to be current members of SGAC and ought to have some prior acquaintance with SGAC work—e.g., having attended events, assistance in activities organization, or participation in project groups.
This year's workshop will be a two-day, on-the-spot networking, policy-oriented discussion, and innovation-led interaction between the region's future professionals and industry leaders and students. Since space exploration and policymaking are being felt increasingly across the Asia Pacific, platforms such as these are badly needed avenues through which to spearhead regional leadership and strategic collaborative efforts.
Application deadline August 31, 2025. With increasing interest in space technology, this chance is a privileged career development opportunity for prospective youth interested in being part of shaping space governance and innovation worldwide.s
Additional information and application procedures can be accessed on the SGAC official website.
