GIST University South Korea Scholarship 2026 | Fully Funded for Master & PhD

Applications are now invited for the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) University Scholarship 2026 for Spring semester. The South Korea scholarship is fully funded and provides international students an opportunity to study Master's, PhD, and Integrated MS/PhD courses with full scholarship. GIST is the only one among the best Korean universities that does not charge an application fee, compared to other best universities like KAIST and UST, so it is one of the easiest for international students.

English Language Requirements:

Instruction language in GIST is English. Though test scores in English can be submitted by the applicants (TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, TOEIC 750, or NEW TEPS 285), exceptions might be granted if:

The applicant received a degree from an English-speaking nation (USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand).

But a successful test score might be demanded by Korean Immigration for processing VISA.

Eligibility Criteria

• Equivalent Korean degree bachelor's degree required.
• Complete documentation and admission requirements are to be submitted.

• Degree certificate or transcript (notaried) as evidence of degree
• Two stamped/signed letter of recommendation
• Report of English language test (if applicable)
