The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur is set to host the Management Education & Research Colloquium (MERC) 2024, a significant academic event tailored for doctoral scholars. Scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 2, 2024, at the IIM Kashipur campus, the third edition of MERC invites doctoral scholars, professionals, and authors to showcase their research work to peers, experts, and interested stakeholders.
During the three-day event, participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research findings and gain insights from fellow scholars and leading academicians in the field of management. Interested researchers can submit their papers by April 8th, 2024, through the official website at iimkashipur.ac.in/merc2024/.
MERC 2024 aims to facilitate interaction, collaboration, and networking among doctoral scholars and practitioners across various domains. Attendees will receive valuable feedback, engage in discussions, and benefit from mentorship provided by experts in their respective fields.
Apart from paper presentations, MERC 2024 will feature workshops on research methodologies to enhance participants' methodological rigor. Cash prizes of Rs 25,000, 15,000, and 10,000 will be awarded to the top three submissions, based on criteria determined by a panel of experts.
Sabyasachi Patra, chairman of the doctoral area at IIM Kashipur, expressed pride in the institution's research ecosystem and highlighted MERC 2024 as an ideal platform for researchers to expand their understanding of various research facets and collaborate with academic and industry experts. He emphasized the importance of fostering idea exchange among budding researchers and academicians from diverse backgrounds.
In the 2023 edition of MERC, IIM Kashipur received 175 submissions from across India, including premier institutions such as IIMs/IITs/NITs/XLRI. These submissions, covering a wide range of management topics, underwent a rigorous review process for final selection and registration in MERC.
While papers on themes like Communications, Economics, Marketing, and Strategy are encouraged, submissions are not limited to these topics, allowing for a diverse range of research contributions.
