Brussels, Belgium - NATO has announced the launch of its 22nd Call for the NATO Internship Program 2025, inviting eligible candidates from NATO member countries to apply for a six-month fully funded internship at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The internship program is designed for students in their third year of university studies or recent graduates from bachelor's or master's programs. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, 15 days of paid leave, and travel support. The program aims to provide interns with a comprehensive understanding of NATO's operations and foster exchange of ideas among fellows from different member countries.

Interns will have the opportunity to work in various fields, including political affairs, defense and security, innovation, operations, communications, business support and human resources, finance, science and technology, and infrastructure and facilities.

The application deadline for the NATO Internship Program 2025 is 20th May 2024. Shortlisted applicants will be notified in May, with final selection scheduled for July or September. Successful candidates will commence their internships either in March or September of the following year.

The objectives of the NATO Internship Program include providing applicants with a deeper understanding of the organization and its operations, facilitating the exchange of ideas among fellows from different member countries, and offering practical experience in a political-military alliance setting.

Interns selected for the program will receive a monthly stipend of EUR 1,217 (2024) to cover living expenses, as well as up to EUR 1,200 for travel support. Additionally, interns will be entitled to 15 days of paid leave during the six-month internship period.

To be eligible for the NATO Internship Program, applicants must meet certain requirements, including being at least 21 years old, a citizen of a NATO member country, having completed at least two years of university-level studies or obtained their highest degree within the past year, and possessing knowledge of English or French.
