The Gujarat government has unveiled plans to host child and life skills fairs in over 30,000 schools nationwide to foster creativity and develop life skills among young students. This ambitious program targets students from grades 1 through 8 and aims to nurture and showcase their latent talents through engaging and educational activities.
The Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training (GCERT) will spearhead these fairs, allocating grants between Rs 800 and Rs 2,000 per school based on student enrollment numbers. The fairs will feature diverse activities to stimulate creativity and practical skills, including storytelling, clay modelling, colouring, handicrafts, and various life skills development exercises.
