The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced an extension for the application deadline for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2024.
Candidates have until August 28 to submit their applications for the exam, scheduled for November 24, 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm. Applications can be completed through the official KEA website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The application fee payment deadline has also been extended to August 30. General, Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and other state candidates must pay a fee of Rs 1,000, while candidates from Cat-I, SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender categories must pay Rs 700.
To apply, candidates should visit the KEA website, click the KSET 2024 application link, log in with their credentials, and fill out the application form. The required documents must be uploaded, and the application fee must be paid. After submission, candidates should download a hard copy of their registration form for future reference.
Eligibility criteria include a minimum of 55% marks for the General category and 50% for SC, ST, PwD, Transgender, and OBC categories in a Master’s Degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized institution. Notably, there is no upper age limit for applicants. The KSET aims to determine eligibility for Lecturer or Assistant Professor positions in Karnataka’s higher education institutions.
