The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over its claims of providing "world-class education" in Delhi.

The BJP has pointed out severe shortcomings in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools, accusing the AAP-led government of gross neglect.

According to the BJP, while AAP has been lauded for its initiatives in government schools, the same attention has not been extended to MCD schools, where thousands of students reportedly lack basic infrastructure. The BJP has alleged that these schools are in dire straits, with many lacking essential amenities such as classrooms, toilets, and drinking water facilities. Additionally, teacher shortages and insufficient resources have further compounded the issues.

Despite its promises, BJP spokespersons have claimed that the AAP government has failed to allocate adequate funds to MCD schools. They argue that AAP's much-touted "world-class" education model selectively benefits a few while neglecting a large section of Delhi's student population. The BJP has framed this as a clear case of misplaced priorities, where government schools are prioritized at the cost of MCD schools.

As per India Today reports, AAP has accused the BJP of politicizing education. The party asserts that their education reforms have yielded tangible improvements in learning outcomes within government schools across Delhi. AAP leaders maintain that the party's focus on government schools was necessary to overhaul a broken system and create a model that could be emulated nationwide.

However, the BJP has refused to back down, reiterating that AAP's policies have left MCD schools, which serve a significant portion of the city's students, in a deplorable condition. The party has demanded that the AAP government take immediate corrective measures and ensure that MCD schools receive the attention and funding they desperately need.

This ongoing debate has reignited discussions on the state of education in Delhi, with both parties locked in a battle of narratives. While AAP highlights its achievements in reforming government schools, the BJP is focused on bringing the spotlight to what they describe as the "abandoned" MCD schools, urging accountability from the ruling party.
