Many students across India aim to secure admission to prestigious engineering institutions such as the IITs and NITs, for which clearing the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is essential. The JEE is conducted in two stages—JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

While IITs require students to pass both stages, other top institutes, like the NITs, accept admissions based on JEE Mains scores alone. The first session of JEE Mains 2025 is expected to be held in January 2025.

This year, IIT Kanpur has been given the responsibility to oversee the JEE Mains 2025 exam. Although the official schedule has not yet been released, the first session is anticipated to occur in the last week of January, with the second session likely in April. Students are advised to check the official websites, jeemain.nta.ac.in or jeemain.nta.nic.in, for updates on the schedule and other exam-related details.

Effective planning is critical for students preparing for the JEE Mains and their Class 12 board exams. Experts suggest avoiding simultaneous preparation for both exams and maintaining a well-structured timetable. Understanding the syllabus and exam patterns for each, mainly focusing on critical subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, is essential.

Students are encouraged to take regular mock tests to familiarize themselves with the JEE Mains exam format, select suitable study materials, and seek guidance from teachers or seniors when needed. Managing stress through activities like yoga or meditation, maintaining a consistent study routine, and focusing on mental and physical health are also crucial for balancing both exams successfully. Confidence, self-belief, and good health are key to a successful preparation journey.
