Entrepreneurship education gets a bond as AVENUES and Young Change Agents aim to deepen the bond between Australia and India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked during a special event held in Melbourne, signifying a major milestone in collaboration between the two organizations.

The initiative is specifically targeted at Indigenous youth, focusing on nurturing innovation, education, and global learning pathways. The partnership seeks to bolster educator capabilities, strengthen ties within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, promote collaboration among talented individuals, and facilitate cultural exchanges among Indigenous youth. In line with the India-Australia Economic Strategy to 2035, the partnership places education at the forefront as a key driver of bilateral relations. Its overarching goal is to equip youth with entrepreneurial mindsets, empowering them to become future leaders and drivers of positive change.

Dr. Sushil Kumar, Consul General of India, also highlighted the importance of educational collaboration in tackling contemporary challenges and fostering innovation within the evolving India-Australia relationship. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma also voiced strong support for the partnership, recognizing its role in introducing globally recognized entrepreneurial concepts to the region's youth.

The collaboration will commence with Young Change Agents visiting Meghalaya to tailor an entrepreneurial learning program for local youth. With funding from AVENUES and support from stakeholders like the Australia India Business Council, the partnership aims to inspire and guide thousands of young individuals in Meghalaya and Northeast India towards embracing social entrepreneurship. The MoU signing, coupled with an in-depth roundtable discussion, shed light on the critical importance of early exposure to entrepreneurial skills. Looking ahead, the partnership envisions establishing and enriching entrepreneurial education pathways, with plans for a follow-up roundtable event slated for March in Meghalaya to further advance its mission.
