EPIC Foundation, a nonprofit group, introduced India's first AI-powered education tablet, designed and made within the country. Created with the help of VVDN Technologies, MediaTek India, and CoRover.ai, this tablet is a big step forward for technology in India.

During the launch event, S Krishnan from MeitY, the government department for technology, praised the tablet for its potential to help students all over India. He stressed the importance of creating things in India, for India, and the world.

Dr. Ajai Chowdhry, EPIC Foundation's Chairman, highlighted the tablet's special features. It's easy to fix and upgrade, which means it can last longer and help reduce electronic waste. This aligns with the goal of making sustainable electronics in India. Chowdhry also talked about the problem of expensive repairs and how this tablet could create new jobs for repair technicians across the country.

The tablet isn't just about learning. It also has cool features like a virtual assistant and can translate languages, making it accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Krishnan from MeitY talked about the government's efforts to boost electronics production in India. He mentioned programs like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) to encourage local manufacturing.
