The Assam government has expanded its fee waiver scheme for college admissions. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced on July 1 that the eligibility criteria for free admissions had been revised this year. Previously, students from families with an annual parental income of up to Rs 2 lakh were eligible. This limit has now been raised to Rs 4 lakh.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has announced that students under 13 will no longer be eligible for admission to Class 9 in government and private schools. This new regulation mandates that students must be at least 13 years old by April 1 of the admission year to qualify for enrollment in Class 9.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the NEET-UG re-examination on June 23 for 1,563 candidates. The Supreme Court mandated this retest following allegations of irregularities and paper leaks in the original exam conducted on May 5. The revised rank list has now been released, and candidates can access their updated scorecards on the official NTA website.
