Ben-Gurion University’s Radio Station fostering Innovation and Creativity among students

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) has become a hub of creativity and innovation with its vibrant student-run radio station, BGU Radio. Located in the university's student administration building, the station provides students with a hands-on platform to master radio broadcasting, podcasting, and video production.

Buzi Raviv, co-founder and director of BGU Radio, highlighted the station's mission to empower students by encouraging project ownership and fostering creativity. "Our station is committed to leveraging cutting-edge media tools and adapting to emerging technologies to provide students with a transformative experience," Raviv said.

The station's dynamic environment enables students to develop practical skills while exploring their creative potential. Former student and participant Yael Goldfinger described her time at BGU Radio as life-changing. 

BGU Radio’s influence extends beyond university boundaries through its Outreach Division. This initiative engages local elementary and high school students, teaching them the art of radio show and podcast production. By fostering cultural exchange and diversity, the program instills social responsibility while nurturing young talent in media.
