According to a notice on the website of the Ministry of Education candidates can choose their desired study program except Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy.

The Embassy of Romania is inviting applications from international students from non-EU countries to pursue Bachelor's, Master's and PhD in Romania for the Academic Year 2025-26.As per a notification on the official website of the Ministry of Education, India, applicants can select their study program of interest in all fields, with the exception of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.The candidates can access the platform at studyinromania.gov.ro via the "Apply for MFA scholarships" button or directly at scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro.

The deadline for application is March 12.

"Government of India has no role in the nomination/selection of candidates. The Public notice is being published for wider dissemination of information purpose only. The final selection of the candidates will be done by the donor country," the Education Ministry made it clear.

Who can apply?

For it to be qualified, the applicant of the scholarship needs to fill a complete file and provide study documents released by accredited/recognized education institutions from their countries. They should possess good results and follow the procedure for submitting the applications.

Scholarship levels

Bachelor's degree: Bachelor's degree courses are for high school or pre-university graduates who have earned a baccalaureate degree or equivalent. The course lasts 3-6 years, depending on the specialization pursued, and culminates in a bachelor's exam.

Master's degree: Master's degree courses are for undergraduates, and last 1 year, 1.5 years or 2 years and culminate in the dissertation exam.

PhD: Doctoral courses are for graduate students or equivalent and last for 3-5 years, depending on the profile of the selected faculty and culminate in the submission of a PhD thesis. In order to be accepted into doctoral studies and to receive the scholarship, applicants should obtain the written consent of the Doctoral Tutor and that he/she passed the admission interview before submitting the application.Doctoral scholarship recipients may pursue studies in Romanian or in a foreign language determined by the doctoral school.

For non-Romanian speakers, a one-year preparatory period is allotted for learning Romanian before the start of actual studies at the university.
