The Eric Bleumink Scholarship 2026 is providing a fully funded master's scholarship to international students to study for their graduate degree at the University of Groningen, the second-oldest university in the Netherlands founded in 1614. Applications have been opened for this highly competitive fellowship that covers any master's program at the university, including MSc, MA, and LL.M. degrees. The duration of the program is one or two years. The student must first secure unconditional or conditional admission into one of the university's postgraduate courses to be eligible for the scholarship.

This scholarship offers holistic financial assistance in the form of full tuition fee, foreign travel from overseas, subsistence allowance (including food, accommodation, clothing, and water), textbooks, and medical insurance. All of the master programmes taught by the University of Groningen come under this programme, under which students can choose their field of study as they wish.

To qualify, the candidates should be nationals of the listed developing countries and should have obtained admission to a master's program in the institution prior to February during the academic year. Application later will be entertained for the subsequent cycle. Candidates should have a good academic history, good undergrad work, and should be capable of meeting the English language requirement. Additionally, applicants should be willing to fund the entire duration of the course.

The below countries are eligible, among others: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Vietnam, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, and several more in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The deadline for application for the fellowship is December 1st annually.
