Stay for 30 Nights in Spain. Applications are now being accepted for the UNESCO Granada Literature Residency 2025 Programme. It is a Fully Funded One-Month Residency Programme. The Programme will run from November 3 to December 2, 2025. "Granada UNESCO City of Literature," a literary city special for literature designated by UNESCO. The Purpose of this program is to extend invitations to writers and literary translators from any country to participate in a one-month International Writers' Residency Program in Granada, Spain. This Program is presented by Granada's City Council (its municipal government) and by the University of Granada. There is no cost to apply, and all of the expenses are covered. Objective of the Program

This Program seeks to invite authors and literary translators of any country to participate in an International Writers in Residence Program.

For the purpose of interconnecting authors from Granada with authors from other countries.

To promote the authors interconnected with Granada and establish them as popular authors.

Develop the international culture of Granada.

To position Granada as a welcoming place for global creative talent.

Who are Literary translators

Literary translators are the people who translate creative works like novels, poetry, plays, and short stories from one language to another and write them in plain words.

Eligibility Criteria

All candidates from across the world are eligible to apply.

Open to Writers and Literary translators of any nationality.

Candidates must have at least two books published (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc.) to be eligible.

Result Announcement

Successful Writers will be announced on September 30, 2025, on the website of Granada City of Literature.
