Environmental Awareness Week Kicks Off By Students Of Bandel

Anwesha Quiz Club has launched Environmental Awareness Week with the U and I Foundation, Chuchura, and ENSD, Bandel. This week-long event, set to run from July 14 to 21, promises activities to educate and engage the community on environmental issues.

Anwesha Quiz Club is a dynamic organization founded by Ujjal Kanti Sarkar for the pupil, of the pupil and with the pupil.  The club is dedicated to fostering knowledge and awareness among students and has curated a lineup of events that blend learning with fun.

Event Highlights:

- July 14, Sunday, 4:00 pm: The event starts with "Seed to Tree," a discussion on the importance of planting and nurturing trees. The session will feature Dilip Kumar Mitra, affectionately known as "The Gardener," at Bandel Muktamancha.

- July 15, Monday: The "My Tree, My Child" program will be inaugurated by Anwesha members, promoting personal involvement in environmental conservation.

- July 16, Tuesday, 3:30 pm: Celebrate International Snake Day with "Snakes and Ladders," a special event featuring guest speaker Chandan Kumar Singh at Bandel Muktamancha.

- July 17, Wednesday: Anwesha members will participate in an essay competition on nature, encouraging thoughtful reflection and creative expression.

- July 18, Thursday: A tree plantation and distribution program will occur at Provati Vidyarthi Bhavan, fostering community involvement in greening efforts.

- July 19, Friday: Abhijit Kumar Biswas will conduct an environmental quiz, with students from Provati Vidyarthi Bhavan participating to test their knowledge on environmental issues.

- July 20, Saturday: The week continues with a film festival on environmental awareness at Provati Vidyarthi Bhavan, showcasing documentaries and films highlighting crucial ecological topics.

- July 21, Sunday: The final day will feature a nature observation program with Anwesha members, allowing participants to engage directly with the natural world and appreciate its beauty and complexity.

Venue: The events will be held at Bandel Muktamancha and Proborthok Bidyarthi Bhavan, providing accessible locations for the community to join in the festivities.
