A video of a school uniform-clad child driving a Sport Utility Vehicle with friends has gone viral on social media.

A video of a school uniform-clad child driving a Mahindra XUV700 in traffic, accompanied by a few children, has gone viral on social media.

The clip, which has gone viral on the Internet, features a bunch of kids - all wearing school uniforms - sitting inside the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle). One of the kids is seen driving along congested roads. The clip has put serious questions about road safety and parental care among netizens.

The video, said to be from Thane, has the child driving the car with other kids hanging out of the sunroof. People who saw it couldn't believe their eyes as the SUV navigated traffic. The video was first uploaded by Prateek Singh on Instagram. Singh stated that the clip was uploaded by Anup Kemkar. He also stated that it was shot at Kavesar, Anand Nagar, near the New Horizon School of Thane (West).

Since its posting on the internet, the video has been viewed more than 22 million times. Facebook users overflowed with comments pointing out the very real danger of this act not just to kids but to other motorists as well.

A part of the internet called upon Mumbai Police to intervene, while some users targeted the parents for their frustration as they wondered how such carelessness was permitted in the first place.
