The Director General of Medical Education and Training (DME), Uttar Pradesh, has officially announced the schedule for the third round of UP NEET UG counselling 2024, aimed at facilitating admissions to MBBS and BDS programs in government and private medical and dental colleges across the state. This crucial phase in the admission process follows the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024.
The registration and document upload process will commence on October 7 at 2 PM and remain open until October 9 at 2 PM. During this period, candidates will also have the opportunity to deposit their registration and security fees, which can be done until October 9 at 5 PM. For those who have registered in previous rounds but did not pay the fees, this round presents a chance to participate by making the required payments.
The DME has stipulated that candidates who were allotted seats in the second round but chose not to join or resigned their seats can also re-enter the counselling process, provided they pay the security deposit again. This approach ensures that all eligible candidates have a fair opportunity to secure their desired medical education pathways.
Following the registration phase, the merit list is set to be declared on October 10, providing candidates with essential information regarding their standings. Subsequently, online choice filling will be available from October 11 at 2 PM until October 15 at 2 PM. The allotment results will be released on October 18, followed by downloading allotment letters and admission processes scheduled for October 19 and from October 21 to 23.
This announcement is significant for aspiring medical students in Uttar Pradesh, as it marks a pivotal moment in their educational journey. The DME’s proactive measures to streamline the counselling process underscore its commitment to ensuring qualified candidates have access to medical education in the state.
