Among the notable projects are unveiling permanent campuses for IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIITDM Kancheepuram.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to bolster the education sector with the inauguration of campuses for three IIMs in Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam, along with the commencement of several vital projects totalling over Rs 13,000 crore on Tuesday.
Among the notable projects are unveiling permanent campuses for IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIITDM Kancheepuram. Additionally, the inauguration will include the establishment of the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Kanpur, a pioneering institute for advanced technology training. Furthermore, the foundation stones for two campuses of the Central Sanskrit University in Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura, will be laid.
Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office highlighted the significance of these initiatives in upgrading and expanding the educational and skilling infrastructure nationwide. The total worth of the projects stands at approximately Rs 13,375 crore.
The event will also witness the inauguration of 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) across the country. Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for five KV campuses, one NV campus, and five multipurpose halls for NVs nationwide.
The ceremonies, including the dedication, inauguration, and foundation stone laying, will occur during a public function at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
