The Tamil Nadu Board's Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 final examinations kicked off today, marking the beginning of a crucial period for students across the state. Running from March 26 to April 8, 2024, these exams signify a significant milestone in the academic journey of approximately 9.38 lakh students. To ensure the smooth conduct of these exams, the education department has arranged for 4,107 examination centres and deployed 48,700 teachers as invigilators. Additionally, stringent measures have been put in place to maintain the integrity of the examination process, with 4,591 flying squads actively monitoring for any instances of malpractice.

Key guidelines have been issued for students appearing for these exams. Adherence to these guidelines is imperative for a hassle-free examination experience. Students must carry their TN 10th admit card 2024 without fail, as it is their entry pass to the examination hall. It is recommended that students arrive at the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of 9.15 am. Furthermore, a brief period from 10:00 am to 10:10 am has been allotted for students to review the question papers before commencing the exam. To ensure completion within the designated time frame, students are advised to conclude their exams 10 minutes before the stipulated end time, allowing for a thorough review of their answers.

With the anticipation of the results slated for May 10, successful candidates will be presented with the opportunity to select their preferred academic streams - Science, Commerce, or Arts - for their higher secondary education. The importance of these exams is underscored by the special monitoring teams chaired by district collectors, which have been instituted to oversee the examination proceedings. Comprising principal education officers and officials from the revenue department, these teams are tasked with upholding the integrity and fairness of the examination process.

Chief Minister MK Stalin and Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi have extended their best wishes to all the students undertaking the Class 10 examinations, emphasizing the significance of this phase in their educational journey.
